James Olszewski: Bad Cues and the People Who Write Them

I was writing a cue last night, not for any particular project mind you, but just to write something. Who knows, maybe I’ll need it someday, right? It was pretty clear in my head, but not as crystal clear as other times. Sometimes I feel like I’m just regurgitating what I hear in my head! Not so last night, it was like trying to hold sand with my hands. And it showed in the cue- it was not good. But it still sounded okay in my head, although it was still not totally clear.
