Profile: Alain Mayrand is a trained composer, conductor, pianist and guitarist. His symphonic score for the Jackie Chan animated feature The Legend of Silk Boy was released on the Movie Score Media label and has been called “...one the of the year’s most delightful scores”. His film and concert scores have been performed and recorded by The Russian State Film Orchestra, Taiwan's Evergreen Orchestra, the Ramat Gan Orchestra in Israel, the Erie Saxophone Quartet and many more. Alain is composer-in-residence for the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra who premiered his piece “Resisting Euphoria” last September.
